Signing Up
How do I sign up for Doctors on Demand?
Signing up for Doctors on Demand is easy! Simply visit our sign up form and fill out the requested information. Your account will be created instantly and you'll be able to begin talking to a doctor immediately.
Is there a minimum age requirement to sign up for Doctors on Demand?
You must be at least 18 years old to sign up for a Doctors on Demand account.
I have a pre-existing medical condition. Can I still sign up for Doctors on Demand?
Yes, you can sign up for Doctors on Demand even if you have a pre-existing medical condition. All applicants are accepted!
What is your cancellation policy?
Your Doctors on Demand account can be cancelled at anytime. To cancel, simply contact Doctors on Demand and request to cancel your account. If you decide to cancel you account, your subscription will not be renewed the following month, and you will receive a check for all credit remaining in your Doctors on Demand account.
Talking to a Doctor
How often can I call and speak to a doctor?
When you sign up for Doctors on Demand, you can call and speak to a doctor as often as you like. There are no limitations on the number of times you can call, the lengths of your calls, or what you can talk about with the doctor.
Who will I speak to when I call Doctors on Demand?
When you call Doctors on Demand, you will speak to a board-certified physician with extensive training and experience in the medical field.
Can I choose which doctor I speak to when I call Doctors on Demand?
No. When you call Doctors on Demand, you will automatically be routed to a doctor in your state who is ready to take your call. We use automatic routing to ensure that you'll always be able to speak to a doctor when you need one. All of our doctors are highly-qualified and will be able to review your medical history before recommending a treatment.
Will the doctor I'm speaking to know my medical history?
Yes. When you speak to a Doctors on Demand physician, he'll have full access to your medical history so that he can make a fully-informed decision regarding what treatment to recommend.
What happens if the doctor I'm speaking to cannot diagnose me over the phone?
If the Doctors on Demand doctor cannot diagnose you over the phone, he'll recommend that you visit your primary care physician or a specialist for further evaluation.
Can I rate the doctors I speak to?
Yes. At the end of each call, you'll be asked if you'd like to rate the doctor you spoke to. You'll then be asked a series of questions about the physician, which you can respond to using the touch-tone keypad on your phone. These ratings help Doctors on Demand continue to bring you the highest-quality phone-based healthcare available.
Can I talk to a doctor at night, on the weekend, or on holidays?
Yes, you can talk to a doctor anytime. There are always doctors available to help you at Doctors on Demand.
Are the calls recorded?
No, Doctors on Demand calls are not recorded. All of your Doctors on Demand conversations are completely private.
Is talking to a doctor on the phone as effective as visiting a doctor in person?
Studies have found that 70% of all doctor visits are purely informational; no actual treatment is administered by the doctor during these visits. In these cases, physically being at the doctor's office is usually unnecessary and results in wasted time for both you and the doctor. Doctors on Demand phone visits are every bit as effective as office visits in these instances and are actually easier and more efficient than going to see a physician in person.
What languages do Doctors on Demand physicians speak?
Currently, Doctors on Demand is only available in English, but we plan on adding more languages soon.
Prescriptions
Can Doctors on Demand physicians prescribe medications?
Yes, Doctors on Demand physicians can prescribe medications they feel are appropriate to your situation.
How are medications prescribed by Doctors on Demand physicians filled?
Any medications prescribed by Doctors on Demand physicians will be called into your local pharmacy by the doctor you spoke to. You can then pick up the medication at your convenience.
Billing and Payments
What forms of payment do you accept?
Doctors on Demand accepts all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
Does Doctors on Demand accept health insurance?
No, Doctors on Demand does not accept health insurance. If applicable, you can submit Doctors on Demand’s CMS 1500 receipt to be applied toward your deductible. In addition, the cost of a Doctors on Demand call is a qualified expense that can be paid for with your HSA, FSA, or HRA account.
